Basic tools
The hand pruners, snap after a few uses probably down to a casting defect and I was trying to prune a rather large branch with considerable force, the other 2 items are ok and seem to work great, even with the issue with the pruners I would be happy to buy again

Be careful of the secateurs breaking
These are ok for the money except be careful of the secateurs as mine broke whie trimming half inch thick branches of a conifer tree in mums back garden. Was luckily wearing tough gloes at the time. A actual piece of metal snapped on the upper part of the clippers. (see photo). You can see where the screw comes through a piece of metal broke off 🙁

A good price for a garden tool set
I required some garden tools and looking around this had an offer on it so purchased it.The loppers is what I really wanted, and they work well and they cut through small branches and shrubs and with a bit of patience and elbow work will cut through thicker ones.The shears are ok but one of the handles wasn’t securely fixed, so my wife did drop it point first on her foot due to the handle sliding off the tool.The secateurs are ok and have a lock on it to keep it closed. they work well and so far I have had no issues with the 3 items working as expected when cutting and pruning the garden.

Break and wear down easily
Lock on secutures fell off first use. Shears and loppers blunted quickly and became loose. I guess ok for a cheap buy but didn’t even last a few weeks. One perk is they never rusted and were comfortable in hand.

Good value garden tools
The shears were light to use but I hadn’t realised how small the sticks had to be. It did say correctly in the advert but my maths weren’t that accurate. The secateurs were excellent as were the long handled cutters. I enjoyed using both of those in my garden clear up.

You pay for what you get
These are not the greatest sets of shears! The handles came off the secateurs, the hedge shears blades cross over each other (ocassionally pinching) and the lopper blades split open when used on anything remotely tough. That said, all three for under £18? I was able to get all I needed done with them but I can’t imagine they will survive much more usage.Not worthy of complaining but not the bargain they appear to be.

DO NOT BUY
On first inspection these items seem well made and suitably sharp But upon use the fail miserably.First the hedge shears, How the blazes do you knick the edge of the shears trimming a privet hedge? not once but twice. the metal used is way too soft so not (it seems) worthy of single use disposable.Second the Secateurs, these broke on first cut, using cheap cast alloy for the frame is not the way to go.Now granted they are admittedly inexpensive but I was not expecting them to be made so horribly cheap.They are made of inferior metals and will not hold up to normal use so DO NOT BUY if you need to do any serious garden maintenance or light for that matter as I was hoping to do.To be fair I was NOT expecting much but metal failure within a couple of minutes? didn’t see that coming.

Liked this as a set, felt good cutting my roses and hedges until the small one snapped after a couple of uses. Bit odd how that happened cutting back roses.The two larger cutters haven’t snapped yet so that is a positive.

Secateurs snapped on first use…
The long handled loppers are very good – feels sturdy, does the job well for small apple tree branches and brambles of all sizes. The bolt that holds the blades together has unfortunately fallen out, but luckily it was easily replaced. The blade of the secateurs literally snapped on their first use in the garden, cutting trimmings down to fit in a green bin. Very poor quality and/or a manufacturing defect. After a couple months use, trimming grass and shrubs, the blades of the sheers are no longer aligned and therefore do not cut effectively anymore.Delivery speed was great, so no issues with the seller, just really poor quality garden tools, especially the secateurs, and not what I expect from Draper alas.

Not strong enough
The secateurs broke on the second thing I cut.I’m not that strong as to be able to put crazy pressure on them yet the metle it self shaped.The shears while using bent at the handles making them not easy to use. They are able to bend back but how many times before they brake.The loppers where very good and sharp ideal for parts of the job.The only part of the three that I’m happy with

Very sturdy, well made and bargain
These three garden tools are fantastic and will last me a lifetime. We have lots of large and small hedges and plant pruning to do in our garden to tidy after winter and these are perfect for the job. Really recommend.
