HEAVY DUTY: Heavy duty metal self-drill fixings with screws for use on all types of plasterboard. The metal self-drilling wall plug is short length so it’s ideal for dry lined walls. The heavy duty metal wall plugs can be used in single or double thickness plasterboard. NO PRE-DRILLING REQUIRED: No pre-drilling is required. You don’t need to go through the hassle of finding the drill size to pre-drill holes. Simply pierce paper skin and screw home. Use either a power or manual Pozidriv screwdriver. Use only the screws provided. MULTI-PURPOSE: Metal self-drill wall plugs designed for plasterboard walls and dry lined walls. Typical plasterboard fixings include shelving, bathroom equipment, bracket and hook fixing, picture hanging, cable trunking, sanitary equipment, sockets, lighting, electircal fittings and installations, handrails, shelving, mirrors, timber and metal battens, and much more. EASY INSTALLATION: Insert fixing point into the plasterboard till the thread of the self-drilling plug is engaged into the board. Maintain pressure on the wall plug fixing and screw into the plaster board till the fixing is flush with the plasterboard. Place the screw into position and tighten till you are sure the screw fixing is secure. PACKAGE QUANTITY: Package contains 20 heavy duty metal self-drill fixings and 20 screws. Very sturdy. Will buy these again.
Easy to use. The ends are not strong and will break, so not the “no drill” ones they are advertised as. But after drilling a 4mm hole in the plasterboard, I was able to “screw” the fixings in just by using the same Philips screwdriver that I also later used for the screws. And I made sure they were flush on the wall. I used them to put up this rack of coat hooks https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hooks-Stainless-Steel-Mounted-Clothes/dp/B08KHCDBY3 as the fittings didn’t look very sturdy. And as they have 15 hooks on each rack, I figured that could end up having quite a bit of weight on it. Pleased they were suitable.

Simple but effective
Quick delivery and a decent product. I usually drill a small pilot hole first to ensure there is hole of enough depth behind the fixing for it to screw in to.

Decent option to hang large canvas prints on dry wall
I use these screws to hang some canvas prints in my flat. You have to be quite careful when screwing these into the wall because the metal is relatively soft. I had two of these break on me, leaving bits in the wall. But overall sturdy enough for light applications.

Great product holds tight on new build walls
I am not the greatest at diy… Infact I know very little. After moving into my new build home and trying to put a picture up it soon became apparent that a good old fashioned picture hook was not going to hold. After doing some research I discovered these little gems and thought I’d give them a try. I’ve used these to hang three 50 x 70 frames and the same size mirror. They screw in with ease – making a little bit of a mess of the surrounding plaster, but nothing too bad – and the pictures/mirror cover it anyway. They are solid and I’d be more than happy to hang shelves etc with them also. Very pleased! I need some smaller ones that I can use that will will exposed – due to the thin wire shelving – that’s my next job!The service from the seller is great, and the fixings came in a handy thick, resealable package.

Did the job they were intended for.
Bought to secure a ceiling mounted curtain pole in the bedroom, read the reviews and was in 2 minds as to whether they’d work or not. After using them I’m not sure what I was concerned about, followed someone else’s advice and drilled a small pilot hole for each one, just enough for the tip. I tried a screwdriver to insert but found it easier just to use a cordless drill on the screwdriver setting (medium power) to insert each fixing. Didn’t have any break but did have one that just spun in the ceiling but that was partly my fault, I removed and re-used it when I repositioned the bracket and it worked fine. I only gave them 4 stars though as it does break the plaster and I’ve had to fill around each one (still to tidy it up on the pictures) but the curtain pole is very secure and every fixing and screw has tightened up.

Takes chunks out of wall, may not be responsible
Not bad. Maybe it’s the terrible plastering job in my house or the awful paint that completely peeled off the wall but these take chunks out of certain walls but not others. Bit finicky on whether they hold or not. Won’t buy again.

Okay but weak at times
Ive used these to fit up a shelf and to secure a skate board to the wall. But every now and then i get one that fails and the tip snaps off. Which then creats a creator in the wall and means the next one i use in that same hole will not be as snug as it would if been if the first didnt fail.These are pretty easy to use though and only require a screw driver and a sturdy hand to twist them in.
