BEWARE! when sharpener blades chip/break with normal use can damaged your knife blade.
Note the uneven/wave to knife edge in the pic attached caused when sharpeners teeth are chipped from normal use. Ok for garage tools but expenses kitchen knifes? No way!

IT DOESN’T SHARPEN ANYTHING!!!
AWKWARD TO HOLD. INSTRUCTIONS WERE LIKE A CHILDS DRAWINGS. I TOOK A MONTH TO TRY TO GET USED TO IT, STILL OVERSIZED . FANCY STREAMLINED LOOK WITH B&D COLORS DOESN’T CUT IT. UNFORTUNATELY I DIDN’T PAY ATTENTION TO RETURN DEADLINE DATE SO I.M STUCK WITH THEM .I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH MY GOOD OLD FISKARS.NOT RECOMMENDED.

HAd found that some kitchen knives & scissors had become little blunt, and this tool certainly made them nice and sharp again. Seems very well made, easy to run blade along set grooves. First impression is that it will last me a long time. Very happy with the product

It works, but not for long
I have loads of scissors, i basically burned it out after about 100 sharpens. It works great but right now mine is on it’s last legs.Its hard to complain as its so cheap though.

Zuerst hat es ewig gedauert, bis dass das Produkt kam. Die Beschreibung ist sehr klein geschrieben und nachden ich eine Anleitung bei YouTube gefunden habe, ging es los. Leider ist keines der Messer wirklich scharf geworden. Entweder ich mache etwas falsch oder aber ich kann das Produkt leider nicht empfehlen. Sehr schade…..

Very nice sharpeners.
I don’t know what suction power has to do with these sharpeners, it was a rating requested. I use these sharpeners on my garden tools, lawnmower blades and kitchen cutlery. I like a good sharp edge on such items. These sharpeners are easy to grip, safe to use, protects your knuckles from the sharpened edges as you sharpen. The case is attractive and provides a nice storage box for the set. The garden tools I’ve used them on are shovels, pruners, edgers, lopping shears, hedge trimmers, hand pruners, hoes …the list could be endless. Afterward stab the handled tools in a bucket of oiled sand for a good lubricant coating and you will have a nice tool for the next job for years to come. Keeping a sharp edge, takes a lot of effort out of the work.

Forse é un po’ caro ma questa considerazione va valutata in rapporto con la longevità del prodotto.I 2 elementi del set possono svolgere le stesse funzioni quello che cambia è che uno dei 2 risulta più comodo e semplice da utilizzare per tutte le persone, sopra tutto per le affilature che riguardano gli oggetti di casa. il 206N, dedicato all’affilatura di coltelli e forbici, risulta comodo in quanto può essere appoggiato saldamente su un tavolo agevolando il controllo della lama durante la fase di affilatura.Devo ancora provare il 103N che volevo impiegare nell’affilatura dei miei attrezzi da giardino: volevo provare anche con il tagliaerba.Unico neo che devo verificare sono le istruzioni che, se non mi ricordo male, non ci sono in italiano e risultano un pochino striminzite. Con questi dispositivi qualche dettaglio in più non fa mai male perché si rischia facilmente di dare la colpa all’affilatore quando probabilmente il problema siamo noi.Ci sono dei video sul sito del produttore che possono aiutare ma sono sempre in inglese.

So far, so good on mower blades
Just received this item and have only used it on my lawn mower blade. This was quick and easy on the mower blade and got the edge very sharp. Much less time consuming than when I would use a large file to sharpen the blade. (Although, the file may still be needed if you have large pits in the edge of the blade that need to be taken out.)

Knives maybe. Scissors dulls them
Product is ok for knives. Basic sharpener. Scissors option on both tools does not work. Dulls the blade so much it won’t cut paper. I don’t understand why sharpeners for scissors is such a difficult concept. Either requires expensive sharpener or professional. Do it yourself like this one is not for scissors.

At first I was really disappointed with the scissors I sharpened with this unit. They were worse that before I started. Well, I did it wrong, my fault. I was using the edges made for shears and knives and not the edges to pull the scissors across. When I realized that I re-sharpened the “blunt scissors” correctly and they work great now. Used this tool on pruning shears, hand shears and kitchen knives. They don’t sharpen my mower blades very well, I use an 4.5″‘ angle grinder with a flap disc on a guide to do that, but for household needs, they work quite well.

Knives & Scissors are sharp again!
Finally have my knives and scissors sharp again. I am the cook in my house and was getting frustrated with how dull they were getting. Had some old sharpeners around but that made it worse, all pitted. They were so bad I ended up using the tool sharpener 1st to get an even edge back on them, then switched to the regular knife sharpener. Did the same with some scissors. I feed my cats gizzards, which were getting difficult to cut. It finally cut with ease. Can’t wait to see how well it does on my tools. I have had the Cuisinart electric sharpener. It was just ok. Anyone who cooks appreciates a sharp knife, etcetera to aid in cooking process. Very happy with this purchase and with the gift box, which I store in my China cabinet.

I was very pleased with this set. Bought it for the gardening shear capability, but the second unit for kitchen knives was incredible. Fast, clean and put a very good edge on some very dull knives.

Gets it to 90% quickly and easily
This doesn’t create razor sharp edges that will cut paper well, like a whetstone would, but it takes about 75% less time to get a sharp edge and I’ll be able to do it much more often. For the garden tool sharpener, it worked a treat on the lawnmower blades, but I did have to take the blades off to properly sharpen – if the blade sharpener were turned 90 degrees, I would have been able to sharpen the blades without taking them off. That is my only complaint about the unit, otherwise this is exactly what I was hoping for – quick and easy so I’ll use it more often.

Ruined my knife?It would be true to say that I didnt hold the knife exactly at 90. I was left with one side being scored and point is uneven.Will try to fix with whetstone.Was looking for something to carry when camping.Disappointed with myself or the tool?
